Inferno is the third entry in the Robert Langdon series, the plot is not at its strongest compared to the previous entries. It does have some chasing thrills, that takes Robert Langdon traveling from historical museums, trying to solve the mystery of where a deadly virus may be hidden. All three of the films were all decent, seeing Langdon reviewing every historical artifact clue that leads to another, while the villains motivation is slowly pieced together with their agenda. Inferno is basically a non-stop chase ride.

Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) wakes up in a hospital in Italy. With no memory of the last couple of days and the events that put him in the hospital except for his visions of a Dante's Inferno plague. Dr. Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones) helps him escape from an assassin and the W.H.O agents that he has trouble trusting them. His only clue, on why they are after him is his "Faraday Pointer" that is based on Dante's Inferno. A clue that was left by Bertrand (Ben Foster), a billionaire that is set at decreasing the population using a virus which he has hidden.

The film started out great with leaving a bit of a mystery on where Langdon wakes up with an amnesia, leaving a few clues, and trying to figure out who he can trust. It does not take its time, before Langdon and Brooks are being chased by an assassin, trailing them around Italy following sets of clues. Also, Langdon is not the only one after the virus while W.H.O. agents and a private security company in which they are either trying to stop the virus from being an epidemic or using it for profit.

Tom Hanks and Felicity Jones were both great as their characters. The villains motivation that the human race is causing their own extinction from the over population and running out of resources is a interesting concept. The plot may not be as strong as Angels and Demons. Sure, they are all equal to their own manner. When in doubt, when this film is consist of chase sequences to one clue after another. It can be a bit tiresome, seeing these characters run all over the location. The action sequences were also okay, and quite forgettable. Script writer David Koepp does keep the movie pace running, and tries to keep the audience on the edge, as we all wait to see what happens next from every scene. Nothing really felt like it was at stake, even though it should have been with these characters at a race against time to save humanity. The film's twist was not as surprising, but was effective for the plot. Hans Zimmer music score was not as memorable compared to his other work. Inferno is a fair thriller film for the third Dan Brown's adaptation with some entertaining concept and a thrilling plot.
