Almost a decade after the previous chapter in the Dan Brown penned franchise, TomHanks/Robert Langdon is back in Inferno, this time fighting off a huge case of amnesia as he is brought back into yet another caper involving historical artifacts and icons, in this case Dante's Inferno which has been adpated/updated to a modern plague which is about to be unleashed but a Billionaires acolyte who believes humanity will be better served if the world's population is culled by a massive scale so we don't obliterate earths natural resources.

The premise in this case seems pretty basic and uncontroversial in comparison to some of the previous entries, most notably Davinci Code's Jesus prodigy, and the Mcguffin character being the female lead once again with Felicty Jones is kind of meh although she is probably the most interesting or charasmatic performance for this entry on her rise through the blockbuster ranks leading up to Rogue One next month.

The other big problem seems to be the fact that Inferno changed its style most noticeably in the back half into being a Bourne entry which is being a by the numbers chase film with a number of government agencies chasing after the leads, one of them with temporary amnesia.

That plus the distance between entries makes me want to go Meh.
