Review of Inferno (2016) by Nilesh J — 17 Feb 2017
I remember the days when Ron Howard made great films. I'm not sure what happened. I mean how do you go from Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, Cinderella man to this garbage. It feels like some cheesy made for TV movie on TNT or the USA network.
The cinematography is amateurish and does not give you the feel of any authenticity or grit. It feels cheap. Felicity Jones is too good for this movie. Tom Hanks is hit or miss now. Captain Phillips, Sully, Bridge of Spies were really good but then this series, Hologram for a King, and Larry Crowne were duds.
I guess he was bound to a contract for this three part mini series with the Davinci code, Angels and demons, and now this dumpster fire. I really hope this is the last of this series and he goes back to choosing quality projects.
I was hoping this series would improve but it's gotten progressively worse. Please put us out of our misery and end this series or find a new director, cinematographer, makeup artist, visual effects supervisor, and on and on.
