Review of Inferno (2016) by Alejandro C — 26 Mar 2017
This one just isn't very good. I didn't read the book so I can't compare, but it doesn't matter as the movie itself is terrible. So much of it is ludicrous, and I kept thinking that it may have been better to read and just imagine the action, as opposed to how it is shown in the film.
I understand suspended disbelief is a key part of movie watching, particularly the bigger Hollywood type films, but I just found this one ridiculous. Not sure if it was the role, or the performance, but Felicity Jones was very flat in this, not engaging at all.
Tom Hanks was just waited, certainly one of his weaker performances. Just skip this one.
