A thriller that had the potential to be exciting and engaging and it wasn't in any aspect. Right from the start we get choppy and messy editing, boring characters, sub-par directing, slow pacing, and a sense the filmmakers just did not care whatsoever when making this motion picture.

Poor Tom Hanks and Ron Howard when making these Robert Langdon films because with The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons and now Inferno. Every one of those have been dull, uninteresting, and most of all forgettable.

With this talented team of people making these films, how could they make such below average entertainment? In Inferno, the stakes don't feel high, you don't care whats gonna happen, and it ends the exact same way the others end.

Inferno also thinks to throw in elements from the Bourne films here making Robert Langdon like Jason Bourne and it was just painfully obvious how lazy screenwriter David Koepp was to add this in. Ron Howard who has made such credible films like Parenthood, Apollo 13, and A Beautiful Mind has stumbled to a new low directing this weightless film and I just hope he can actually step it up when directing the new Han Solo spinoff film.

The editing throughout the film was just all over the place and it seemed to me they were trying to copy the style of the Bourne films only it worked on those and not here. The whole cast here feels wasted and is given nothing interesting to do except speak boring dialogue.

The twists and turns also feel forced and unearned and it felt like they were trying to compensate for such a boring thriller. One star only for Tom Hanks and Felicity Jones trying because how could you make a .

5 out of 5 movie with those two acting talents here. Lets hope it is the end for these Dan Brown movies.
