The book is actually exciting and very depressive at the same time. Yes there are to mny humans and yes we can't feed them all in 40 years or so. But unlike the book has a major important plot twist which makes it very dark but also intresting.
The movie ofcourse doesn't follow this twist and maks the good guy a hero and the bad guy a clear villian, while they should be in a grey zone. So this movies loses all its strengt in story telling and is now just plain boring.
Don't watch this movie just read the book.
