Review of Infernal Affairs II (2003) by Angelina C — 18 Sep 2009

I would consider IA 2 a somewhat successful prequel to the earlier hit Internal Affairs. There are more shooting scenes and violence compared to the first. However I do miss the performances of the two A list male leads, Andy and Tony.

I do have difficulty in catching the Cantoneses phases at times, so instead of taking 119 mins to finish, it took me 30 mins longer. I found that there seem to be too many plots in this prequel, it can get confusing.

Many new characters here too. Overall it is not as good as the first but it is still a satisfying piece of drama.
