Slick and sleek, it's more interested in moving the gimmicky plot along than actual characterisation, but when Tony Leung's at the top of his game and the ever-so-slightly bland Andrew Lau's nonetheless perfectly cast, do you care? And Anthony Wong's appearance atop a taxi cab is a great exit scene.
