What can I say, I prefered The Departed, but I'm a Scorsese kind of guy, so them's the breaks. This works better as a "suspense thriller", or whatever the classification is, than the American Remake, so it leaves it a matter of opinion as to which you prefer.
Maybe it's arbitrary, but they're both excellent films.
