An excellent movie, and definitely worth a watch. so much that's great about the departed came directly from here. that said, I actually think taht the departed is a better film. the atmosphere and characterization that scorcese adds is one of the best things about the Departed, and its lacking a bit in the original.

There were also a few scenes in IA where the cheeseball factor shoots through the roof, which really takes you out of the movie.
