Review of Infernal Affairs (2002) by Johnny K — 18 Sep 2009
One great HK movie. Of course it is not the first (HK) movie about undercover and other elements in the film is not completely original, but the screenplay helps a lot by avoiding the usual (pointless) comedy and actions you might expected from a HK movie.
There are, however, some romance elements which are necessary but really drag the film. Nevertheless the film work as a very effective thriller that focuses on its story rather than gunplay. Great performances from the all-star cast.
And the cinematography and the score are just gorgeous.
