Review of Infernal Affairs (2002) by Man L — 14 Oct 2009
An ingenious and original idea that was developed into a well-thought screenplay and finally made into a beautifully poetic movie. The design of 2 undercovers in opposing organizations racing to discover each other is already an exciting foundation of a great film.
The writers and directors further developed it to show the innermost turmoils of the central characters, letting the audience, if not root for, at least perceive the characters from their own points of view, providing a connection between the movie and the viewers few others can come close to achieve.
