I had to finally watch this, being a HUUUUGE fan of the Departed. I dont know what to say ....its not as good as The Departed. The twists in the Departed really help the story. Where the Departed makes a twist and carries the story to a likeable ending, Infernal Affairs explains it with some text.
I know this story came first, but it just didnt have the gravity I felt in The Departed. Its good, but not an absolute necessary watch. I will say that most of the acting is pretty solid...and the look of the film is gorgeous.
..but I wasn't blown away by what felt like an unfinished film.
