Review of Infamous (2006) by Glenn E — 10 Oct 2006
*** 1/2 INFAMOUS - Sometimes, 2 production companies decide to do the same story. Usually, one of them blinks, but every once in a while they both come out within a year of each other. In this case, the story of Truman Capote's efforts to research the murders for his book "In Cold Blood" became CAPOTE last year and now we have this movie. I didn't see CAPOTE, but this is a very good film; absorbing, but with a sense of humor (some critics found CAPOTE too somber). With a fine supporting cast (SANDRA BULLOCK, SIGOURNEY WEAVER, JEFF DANIELS and the new James Bond, DANIEL CRAIG), it opens 10/13 in NY and LA..
