Review of Inequality for All (2013) by Dov D — 29 Sep 2013
Inequality For All may have been directed by Jacob Kornbluth, but it is clearly ex-Secretary of Labor Robert Reich's baby. In a culmination of Reich's knowledge on class equality, this film explains how our nation's economic health has been in a steady decline over the past thirty years in a very candid and understandable manner.
Much of what he explains is basic economics, but he provides behind the scenes insight into how things have gotten so bad. Like all political documentaries, Inequality For All is clearly biased, but does a good job at presenting the facts fairly.
The ending is ridiculous... When his class gives him a standing ovation, I couldn't help but shake my head at his smugness. It made the entire film seem like a glorified lecture. Bottom line, if you're well versed on the subject, you may be bored at times, but will still find plenty to enjoy.
.. If not, don't let that stop you from giving this documentary a try. Everything is explained very well. I'd recommend it to most people, especially those with a high political and economical acumen.
