Review of Indochine (1992) by Sebastian H — 06 Nov 2008
Glorious, glamorous and epic tale of love and obsession set on a rubber plantation in French colonial IndoChina. Deneuve, Dan Pham and Perez make an eye-popping centrepiece of Ill-fated lovers, their passions, betrayals and individual journeys mirroring the greater struggles of a country entering Civil War.
Although flawed, Indochine has the passion and power to transport you to the decadent world of French Indo China, and wrap you up in its tumultuous upheaval.
