Review of Indie Game: The Movie (2012) by Anatoly S — 13 Jun 2012
A well put together documentary that almost completely misses its subject. Very little here is about indie gaming or game development. The developers presented are interesting, but the doc devotes way too much attention to some aspects of the process and not enough to the other.
It's trying to convey the notion that small games are more personal and are representative of their creators, but about half-way through it turns into Marketing with Microsoft: The Movie. It would probably be interesting to people who are not aware what goes on behind smaller games, but the doc doesn't really represent or expand on anything.
It's technically well made and it's entertaining to watch, so if you're interested then CHECK IT OUT.
