Review of Indie Game: The Movie (2012) by John C — 20 Jun 2012

This is a really fantastic documentary. Certainly the best documentary I've seen since Man on Wire. Whether or not you're a gamer, it doesn't matter. This is less a story about video games and more a story about a few people trying to beat the odds and follow their dreams on their own terms.

James Swirsky and Lisanne Pajot cover all of the bases to tell this great underdog story. There is suspense, tragedy and triumph. By the end, I felt like I knew these people and I cared about their struggles to find their own way through an industry dominated by huge corporations.
