I have enjoyed playing games as well as watching films, and I particularly find myself getting a lot more indie games than triple A titles, so this was a really interesting series of stories from three indie developers.

We see their problems trying to code, test, preview, and even releasing the games, and the way the film portrays them makes us really get to know and sympathize with them. All of their stories are unique and interesting, as they all face different problems trying to get their indie game titles to succeed.

It is an excellent documentary that portrays its subjects really well, and you grow to want to be sure that these people succeed in their endeavors as much as they do. This is also made to have a feel of fun to it, too (fitting enough as a documentary about games), using game clips, fun text placement, and the editing is really well done as well.

For first-time directors, I must say that Lisanne Pajot and James Swirsky did an excellent job maintaining a good feel to the film, keeping the focus interesting, managing to get us really grow attached and root for the subjects of their film, and ultimately, create an excellent documentary for the gamers and geeks of today.
