Review of Indie Game: The Movie (2012) by Phillip B — 25 Aug 2013
This film presented a very interesting, and relate-able, look into the world of indie game development. It is easy to see a title such as "Super Meat Boy" or "Braid" and see the game at face value.
But when you really dig down, and put faces to the code, you start to understand and develop a greater appreciation for the medium. The film portrays these developers in a very personal manner, this is not a film where there is an ulterior motive, this is a film where you sit down in the apartment with the developer and see these people for who they really are.
If you are interested in the way games are developed, this is a must see film. There is one thing that it has taught me for sure; I have never had that sort of dedication towards anything in my life.
