Review of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) by Theapplegnome — 11 Jun 2015
Not as impressive as the first installment, but still watchable.
The Indiana Jones-magic is still present, but there're are a lot of smaller flaws. The biggest is without doubt the actors. Jonathan Ke Quan and Kate Capshaw are both non-fitting actors for their role. Jonathan is a really bad actor, he totally ruined the movie. Some of the dialogs are forced and the chemistry is a bit vague at some places. The opening scene is slow but great, and the movie is overall really funny and entertaining. It also got great cinematography and the classic music is spectacular! But it's not as great as the previous movie, and the major reason is the plot. It's not as adventurous or entertaining, but it's still a great movie!
A less impressive sequel.
