Review of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) by Jon R — 05 Jan 2013
A darker and perhaps even more intriguing second installment in the Indiana Jones saga. Often criticized as "too dark" or vulgar the real issue with Temple is more to do with it's presentation than it's subject matter.
The camp, gross out gags and overall gratuitousness that embody the memorable aspects of Temple truly do make it feel like a "sequel". Raiders is a tough act to follow and in Temple the parts we would rather forget strongly outweigh the parts we fondly remember.
