Review of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) by Robert M — 15 Jan 2015
An adventure worthy of being had by Indiana Jones, Temple of Doom is a darker and different change of pace for our rugged adventurer. This one takes the adventure away from the Nazis, and shoves it into India, with voodoo, Thuggees, and child slaves.
In the vein of Gunga Din, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is a dark and very enjoyable thrill ride. It is one of those sequels you can be proud of, as I enjoyed Short Round as a surrogate son figure, and Willie as the exact opposite love interest that Marion Ravenwood is.
