Review of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) by Ty M — 21 Aug 2014
Too much unnecessary gore, too many crawling bugs, and far too many dark themes, and far too perilous for an Indiana Jones movie.
In this depressing sequel, comic timings, a fast pace, Harrisom Ford, and the fresh scent of adventure takes a far-backseat to village starvation, child slavery, and a Satanic cult that leads to a man's heart being grabbed out of him and still living, before being burnt in lava before our very eyes.
Sounds fun, right?
This is not an Indiana Jones movie, because it spends too much time showing us eyeball soup, monkeybrain dessert and trying to seduce the older audience with dirty jokes and a whiny rich woman who has no role here.
Enjoy the first, skip the second, watch the rest.
