This whole movie just doesn't quite do it for Indiana Jones. Jones himself is once again awesome, and some qualities work just as well from the 1st film. But it lacks most of the interesting characters and theme of the original replacing them with annoying and over the top cleches.
As well the story is just too strange for normal, and to the point its too provokingly gory.
