Review of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) by John E — 09 Apr 2012
The third and final installment for many years is by far, for me, the best entry in the series. A return to form after the darker, more direct Temple of Doom. Crusade gets back to what makes Indiana Jones our favourite whip wielding hero.
This film brings back the Nazi's, the religious aspect, the action, the comedy, the womanizing and for me a masterstroke, the introduction of Sean Connery as Dr. Jones Snr. We see Indi's origin story and really get to understand the character, in depth.
The feel good factor is ever present and the overall story seems very thought out and well written. A fantastic movie and well worth its 5 stars!!
