Review of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) by Kevin G — 04 Jul 2012

So it's Raider's with Sean Connery for comic relief... I don't see a problem in this... this is the quintessential Indiana Jones... now let me explain... Raiders of the Lost Ark is a quintessential Action/adventure.

.. Period!!! It just happens to have a character named Indiana Jones in it... With Last Crusade, you know it's Indy (his name comes before the quest) so it's a different expectation... it's got Indy, Sallah, Marcus Brody, and of course, Henry Jones.

.. the father-son story is what hooks me and doesn't make me think about the fact in both Star Wars and Indy, the final installment is nothing more than the first movie with father-son overtones so you don't realize the same story is being told.

.. but I digress, Connery and Ford and magnificent, and I enjoy the living hell out of this movie... FYI... keep a look out... if a hat-wearing character loses his hat... most likely it's because he died!
