Review of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) by Alex H — 11 Aug 2012
While not of the same iconic status as "Raiders", "The Last Crusade" is arguably the best "Indiana Jones" movie for the one thing it has that the other three do not; something worth watching between action scenes, by which I refer to Harrison Ford and Sean Connery's unlikely but inexplicably perfect screen chemistry.
The pair's repartee effortlessly evokes a strained but mutually fond father-son relationship that's often hilarious despite its emotionally messiness. As always, the set pieces are superbly staged and brim with visual wit.
