Review of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) by Stephen E — 27 Feb 2013
Right from the get-go, there was no way that "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" would ever measure up to the greatness of the original films - not including "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
" That was a given. So, it comes as little surprise that it doesn't. However, Harrison Ford has never been more likable as the titular character and the storytelling is pretty much spot on, minus a sci-fi angle that comes about during the film's final minutes.
Also, Shia LaBeouf is great in his supporting role, which comes as a bit of a surprise. All in all, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" is a pretty unspectacular yet enjoyable effort that suffers from being too CGI heavy and too downright implausible.
Nevertheless, I was entertained.
