I don't quite get why this is hated so much. It is quite frankly, better than two-thirds of action films released today. Nuking the fridge was a bit much and so were those CG monkeys, but the majority of the film ignores these faults, unlike The Phantom Menace, which spends its entire runtime among its problems.
