Yes, the ending is somewhat soppy, but before that someone gets rescued from a nuclear blast in a refrigerator - and the sequence has the uncanny quality of actually making you ponder the atomic bomb. I guess Kubrickian is the word.
Then, Blanchett speaks with heavy Russian accent, and there's UFO. In Amazon. What's not to like?
