Review of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) by Christopher M — 22 Aug 2014
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is for anyone who has ever been a fan of the old whip-lashing professor. Plenty of action from the get go, with thrills and spills throughout. The cinematography puts you back in the same chair you sat in through the first three movies and keeps you glued to the screen the whole way through.
That being said, it definitely strays away from the believable archeaologist's adventures you've seen before. Over-the-top special effects are really what is to blame here. Some scenes simply make you cringe and smack your head at the raging cheesefest you are watching; while others will get you excited again for this older franchise.
Great movie; just too many special effects in some areas.
