Review of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) by Pen T — 18 Jun 2015
This could have been good, but why oh why does nobody tell Spielberg and Lucas when they go over the top? Are they just surrounded by "yeah"-sayers? Seriously? Whilel Indy always had fantastic elements - Aliens? But not just that "jump the shark" became "nuclear fridge" and this annoying critters - digitally for nobody's pleasure - make this film at times so awfully ridiculous.
We could have lived with the aliens, but you've lost us by adding annoying details that do not have any relevance to the story or plot. This is typical example of Lucas who has forgotten: that less is more and adds more "digital crap".
Sorry, George, you need people who tell you that you go over the top, because you keep ruining your movies, which is just sad. And Steven - you should have known better, fridge and all.
