Review of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023) by Jamess — 01 Jul 2023

If I had the option to rate this 6.5 I would, but given Harrison Ford is giving it his all in his last portrayal as Indiana Jones, I gotta bump it up to a 7. James Mangold is a solid director with a great track record and he delivers good action, but in this day of stunt supervisors directing your John Wicks and Extractions, the set pieces are a bit lackluster.

Even the truck chase in Kingdom had a playfulness and Spielberg's way of "Rube Goldberg-ing" an action sequence, that Mangold lacks. A much better send off to a beloved character than Kingdom, I'm glad they were able to get together and make one more.
