Review of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023) by Fadeblack — 01 Jul 2023

Spectacular and fantastic! I was VERY worried about this film going in for the reasons many have mentioned, as Indiana Jones is pretty much my favourite film series...but they got everything right. It is hard for me to imagine how anyone could love Indy Jones and not love this movie. It was in part dark and gritty, in part sad, but on the other hand full of discovery, thrill, and adventure, solid characters, the familiar wonderful music, amazing locations, action scenes that were way better than what I was expecting, and just everything you can love about this series. It was exactly what I longed for, and a perfect ending for my favourite film character of all time, given his age.

The Last Crusade remains my favourite in the series, but Dial of Destiny more than holds its ground with the other films, which is saying a lot.
