Roland Emmerich's attempt to cash in on the sequel-mania fails badly. The problem is not with the production values or special effects, but with Emmerich's way of seeing the current audience as degraded and welcoming all mullock that comes loaded with C.
G.I. The humour is mostly unintentional and none of the characters other than a returning Jeff Goldblum leave a mark.
