Review of Independence Day (1996) by Connor D — 21 Jun 2015

"Independence Day" is pretty awesome, if I say so myself. It is a good 1990s sci-fi flick that gets some criticism for being a little too unrealistic, but I won't deduct points for that reason since it IS a SCI-FI FLICK.

This movie is meant to be a great epic alien invasion apocalypse movie, which is a mouthful to say, and it is just that. It's not meant to be your "Alien" or "Aliens," which have way more depth and and a better screenplay than this. This movie is just supposed to be a good time for viewers to watch and enjoy, and it is enjoyable. I don't think "Independence Day" is a masterpiece of a movie in the slightest, but for an epic alien invasion film with a great cast, you can't go wrong with this film. 8.3/10.
