Review of Incubus (1966) by David. B — 11 Nov 2007
No, Tara Reid is not the most popular actress out there and because of that there should have been a disclamer with: TARA RIED STARS IN THIS, but it is because of her this film turned out to be a decent horror/slasher flick.
The story is somewhat basic and generic where a car accident forces a group of friends to seek shelter inside an old abandoned building before they freeze to death, only to realize a legendary serial killer is inside and only because he is in a coma it does not mean he can not kill you.
As the killer takes over the friend one by one he makes them kill each other. Although not the GREATEST script it was entertaining enough. I wish there was a little more character development as we never got to understand where the teens were going and what kind of people they are before the crash.
We never even got to see them on the road. I guess, because they had rope and six torches they where on a camping trip. Who knows? We were never told. All up, I was surprised by Incubus, which borrow alot from your ghost/slasher films like Ghost Rig and thanks too Tara's decent acting skills which carries this movie along I can recommend this for anyone if you have nothing else to watch on a rainy day or night.
