Review of Incredibles 2 (2018) by Yash B — 15 Jun 2018

The long-awaited sequel to Pixar's beloved film, "The Incredibles," has finally arrived. I am pleased to report, that as a whole, this movie is a blast and delivers the same humor, charm, and fun the first did.

I think where the movie does a better job than the first is with its more humorous and lighthearted moments. I found myself laughing out loud multiple times in the movie. It's an enjoyable movie with great action and great messages about family.

Pixar typically is pretty hit or miss with their sequels. I still do feel this movie is much weaker than the first entry. This isn't the weakest sequel they have made but it also isn't the strongest.

The pacing of the movie doesn't always land as it'll go from being fast and exciting to somewhat uneventful during some patches. Another complaint I had about the movie is that I found the story to play out in a somewhat predictable way.

Despite these minor flaws, I thought this movie was a ton of fun and I left the theater feeling like a kid again in the best way possible. Fans of the first movie or Pixar will have a good time watching this one.
