Incredibles took 14 years to make a second one.
Leaving all original children who grew up watching it, loyal fans who are now old enough in the real world to understand more advanced themes or concepts.
Majority of the movie was basically exposing society and the government so I think incredibles 2 was released at the time it was, and includes hints that it does, to expose the government and have us older now, to hear them and understand it (stay woke).
