Review of Incredibles 2 (2018) by Jackie M — 17 Jun 2018
The movie had more real life characteristics than the original, (less cartoony), which took away from the fantasy for me. I didn't enjoy the plot, for I was not sucked in, and it was predictable. The whole movie had too much action/violence and not enough child relatable material.
Within the first few minutes I noticed the father's voice sounded less manly, or "incredible" than the original, so much that I though it was a new actor, and Dash's hair color was much darker too, which set the stage for me to critique more differences as I continued to watch.
Several scenes were just not enjoyable. I enjoyed the short at the beginning of the movie way more than the movie itself. 3 stars only because I love Pixar. But it deserves less. I would not bring a child younger than a teen to watch.
