Unfortunately, this was not the non-stop surprise joy fest that was the first movie. I figured this storyline out about 1/3 in. It is a commendable effort, though, and a decent way to pass time. But where the first will always be a treasure to me, this was just "fine".
Frozone's somewhat stronger role was nice. And Odenkirk's Winston was a nice surprise. I did like the way that the plot shows the deep difficulty in every life role: home-maker and hero alike.
