After 14 years, we finally get a sequel and it picks up right where the first one ended. Full credit for doing that and still feeling current. We have two stories with Elastigirl doing the superhero work and Mr.
Incredible being the stay-at-home dad. Where in the first movie everybody got some shine in the action sequences, this was not as balanced. That being said, a couple of Elastigirl's action scenes were great.
The family story is what really separated this from the first movie. No surprise the scene stealer was Jack-Jack, especially during a particular interaction. This made me laugh more, but given everything else including the villain, I like the first one more.
However, I was still very entertained and is a solid addition.
