Review of Incident at Loch Ness (2004) by Todd S — 08 Apr 2006
I had such high hopes for this movie but they were dashed when it became apparent that what I was watching was a fake documentary, and not a very good one at that..
.
Mockumentarys can be funny (hello, Waiting for Guffman, et al). Even real documentarys can be funny. But this one...wasn't..
.
The idea was to make an apparently "real" documentary about the creation of a "fake" one, when in "reality" the "real" documentary is also fake. Have I lost you?.
.
Suffice it to say that when the "acting" becomes noticeable the whole gag fails. Good concept, interesting idea but it ultimately fails..
