Review of Inception (2010) by Minh V — 02 Sep 2014
A fresh breeze of originality and execution. This film has everything: action, drama, science fiction, thriller, suspense, etc. but most importantly it's everything done great. It's not a mumble-jumble spaghetti Disney film done poorly with a little bit of every genres toppled with marketing ploys to maximize audience from all age group.
A clever film that assumes its audience is intelligent and refuses spoon-feed them. You need to pay good attention otherwise you'll be lost. This is a film that benefits from multiple viewing. The more I re-watch, the more new things I find and the greater I appreciate it.
It's not a stretch to claim that it's one of the best films within the last decade. It's a film that set the bar higher for the future and one that re-defines the whole multiple-genres film making.
