Review of Inception (2010) by Thomas P — 27 Dec 2014
Visually sumptuous, intelligent, suspenseful, conceptually brilliant, emotionally resonant, incredibly well acted with even-handedness and pensive control, while laying the foundation of this wildly creative yet perfectly complex script.
And even if u don't get it, it's such an adventure/scifi/mystery/action/suspense journey that it just won't matter bc you'll be overtaken by this rollercoaster of a thrill.
Remember, this guy directed Memento - another fragmented movie that is clearly but slyly metered out - which left a smile on my face and a determination to get the last 20 percent that I didn't get in the first viewing.
Inception has that same effect - I understood about 80 percent of it, and have been happy to watch it again and again for the vibrant, stunning, emotional story and visuals, and maybe THIS time I'll get a bit more of it..
5 runaway train trips out of 5.
DONT. MISS. THIS..
