Built to inspire thought, discussion and analysis, Nolan's landmark sci-fi film has him in top form. The incogruent plot may sound like a ham-fisted Disney Channel attempt at a thriller, but in Nolan's capable hands Inception succeeds on the heroic level that only he can where others would have faltered.

Inception is the acme of epic film superlatives, with no film even close to its combination of academic brilliance and awe-inspiring action. This is a film that encourages and rewards rewatches with its layered script and its ability to look and feel fresh every time you watch it.

With physics-defying, room spinning action, a script that doesn't give it's secrets freely, heart-wringing emotion and an astonishing score from Hans Zimmer, Nolan delivers another true original.

And true to form, Nolan ends the film on a note that seems ambiguous to anyone not watching closely. Welcome to an undiscovered country.
