Just finished watching this again on blu-ray!

Welcome to 'Inception' - the exotic world of dream sabotage!

Leonardo DiCaprio plays a thief who specializes in corporate espionage. Only thing is, he steals objects from people's dreams. He assembles teams who go inside people's minds and extract information while they sleep. Pretty cool, right? :).

God, I wish this movie were THAT easy to explain lol.

It would be epic on that concept alone. But this is Christopher Nolan, and this movie is far more entertaining (and darker) than that.

See, DiCaprio and Co. aren't tasked to extract; they have the impossible task of INCEPTION (the opposite of EXTRACTION) - which is, to place an idea into a person's mind through their dreams - Without the person knowing! Oh the fun is just starting...

The further the 'dream team' goes into deep subconscious, the more dangerous things get. Eventually this movie becomes three separate action pieces - as each layer of dreaming takes on its unique set dangers. If that sounds confusing enough, imagine the characters trying to navigate each layer of dream while finishing their mission, maintaining sanity, and literally staying alive. EVERYTHING teeters on precision and exact timing. One false move and they slip into never-ending oblivion.

Christopher Nolan is the champion of intelligent action thrillers and this is the possibly the undisputed king of mind-benders. Inception breaks conventional movie rules and creates new ones. Sure, there are other great movies like 'Momento', 'Requiem for a Dream', 'Fight Club' and the original 'Matrix'; movies which warp our perception of reality and deliver a great story...

But Inception destroys all competition as a high concept thriller with nonstop tension and plenty of action. My review can't even do this movie justice. It's like trying to explain a crazy dream. And in the end, are we really sure about DiCaprios fate??? People are still debating the ending to this day!

INCEPTION Christopher Nolan's magnum opus - and quite possible the granddaddy of all mind-bender movies.
