Review of Inception (2010) by Charles B — 12 Jul 2014
Inception is unique and thrilling. Nolan gives us an innovative world where people invade other peoples dreams and plant an idea in their head. Sounds boring, but the movie is so well executed and absolutely exciting.
The cast all brings their A-game, and the special effects are spectacular. The score is epic and accompanies the intense movie. The action is exciting and the movie is very well paced. In such a complicated film, you would assume there would be many plot holes, but Nolan's excellent direction uses exposition to explain this crazy universe to us.
The characters are well fleshed out, especially Cobb's emotionally powerful past. Others are given less to do, but are each given distinctive professions. In the end Inception is a really dazzling and smart summer blockbuster.
Inception gets 5/5 stars (A+).
