Well hello boys and girls. Christopher Nolan's "Inception" is without a doubt one of the best movies ever made. It definitely deserves to be in the ranks as the best 100 films of all time and definitely one of the best for the 2000 era. It's such a bizarre, unique and at the same time fascinating exploration into the mind of dreams and accessing a person's information through dream states. DiCaprio as always gives a very explosive performance in this as Dom Cobb, the man who is the most skilled extractor who can access your mind and go into the deepest levels of the dream world. The only problem with his character is that he extradited from the U.S. after his wife played amazingly and creepy by the gorgeous Marion Cotillard, after she kills herself because of reasons I cannot explain in this interview as it is part of the movie, but keeps on showing up in DiCaprio's dream states because he cannot let her go. The movie also stars Joseph Gordon Levitt in his star making role as Arthur DiCaprio's right hand man. Ken Watanabe who I love in everything who is the tourist in DiCaprio's dream state and offers DiCaprio a way back home to American if he completes Watanabe's dream state mission called Inception. Ellen Page from "Juno" who is the architect, the person who designs the dream levels. Tom Hardy from "The Dark Knight Rises" and "Lawless" who plays the forger who impersonates targets in the dream state. Cillian Murphy from "Batman Begins" who is the target in the dream state that Watanabe's character wants DiCaprio's character to alter Cillian Murphy's mind so that he can change his position and alter his position as the new power of super energy when his father dies played by the late Pete Postlethwaite. And then there is also the great Tom Berenger from "Platoon" and countless other films who is the uncle and godfather of Cillian Murphy's character, who Tom Hardy impersonates in the dream state. And then there is the great and everlasting Michael Caine, who has minor to small cameo roll as DiCaprio's father who taught DiCaprio about the dream state. I really love the fact that Christopher Nolan keep working with all the same actors he works with in the past especially Michael Caine who he has worked with six times already and that includes Chris Nolan's latest feature "Interstellar." I love watching the same actor and director work with each other I just get such a buzz off it like when I watch DeNiro and Scorsese, or DiCaprio and Scorsese for that matter, even Quentin Tarantino and Samuel L. Jackson it's just such an electrifying feel for me.

as a movie buff. There are several layers of the dream state that the cast goes through in this movie in order to alter Cillian Murphy's mind, but I am not going into all that now as it will literally take me for ever to go into, but I will say the one thing that really makes "Inception" work besides Chris Nolan's superb direction is Hans Zimmer's haunting and intense score. He literally is my favorite composer as I love the score he does for the Batman movies, Terrence Malick's "The Thing Red Line," the man is truly one of the greatest composers of our time. The one thing that truly shocked me though watching "Inception" besides all the crazy twist and turns, especially with the end that still has me pondering about it to this day, is the fact that Christopher Nolan did not get a Best Director Oscar nomination for his work in this movie as this is a movie that could not have been made by any other director other than Nolan as it has him written all over this movie. Just goes to show where the Academy is at today, but I really don't care, I'm over it as for me, Christopher Nolan was the best director when "Inception" came out.
